Founded in 1973, Naim is an award-winning hi-fi manufacturer based in Wiltshire, UK. Naim shares the same intense relationship with music as its customers, a passion that has driven them to design and engineer a wide range of hi-fi products including digital music systems, amplifiers, and loudspeakers that connect people with their music.With a successful track record of producing quality network streaming products, Naim embarked on their first standalone wireless music system – dubbed Mu-so. With a successful track record of producing quality network streaming products, Naim embarked on their first standalone wireless music system – dubbed Mu-so. It leveraged some technology from Naim’s previous products coupled with all new ideas and designs. Naim created a new iOS app to complement Mu-so; the app also being backward compatible with their other streaming products. What was needed for launch was an Android-based app.
Janus Technology, already a trusted development partner for Naim, were employed to create the Android app for Mu-so and Naim’s other streaming products. Much of the project ported the look and feel of the original iOS app but, with the nuances of Android OS variants, it was key that the experience of Janus Technology was used to overcome any obstacles. The app was released in time for product launch in the summer of 2014.
