Design Engineer – Building Controls (BMS)

We’re looking for a motivated engineer to join Janus Technology, working on smart building and high-end residential control systems.

This role is ideal for someone who is technically minded, comfortable with computers, and keen to develop into a controls/BMS engineer. Previous CAD experience is helpful but not essential — full training will be provided.

You’ll be working on bespoke, high-spec residential and smart building projects, gaining exposure to real-world systems from an early stage.

What you’ll do:

  • Produce and update system drawings and technical documentation (training provided)
  • Support the design of building control and smart home systems
  • Work with engineers to develop control strategies
  • Learn and work with CAD tools (e.g. AutoCAD)
  • Gradually gain hands-on experience with BMS and smart building platforms

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong computer skills and confidence learning new software
  • A technical mindset (engineering, IT, or similar background)
  • Good attention to detail and organisation
  • Willingness to learn and develop in controls engineering

Desirable (not essential):

  • Any exposure to CAD (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
  • Electrical, building services, or automation background
  • Interest in smart buildings, controls, or IoT
