This driver provides both Ethernet and Serial control of a Texecom Premier Elite series alarm system from an RTI processor, via the use of a virtual keypad. All the usual keypad buttons are provided as driver commands for mapping into RTI, as well a comprehensive list of variables, enabling the installer to create an authentic looking keypad to display via an RTI panel. In fact, a number of keypad commands usually activated on a Texecom panel by pressing multiple keys are usefully provided within the driver as single key commands. Text strings and a series of flags provide the RTI interface with up-to-date feedback, describing the current status of all alarms within the system. Users will love the convenience of handheld control and monitoring of their alarm system, and will delight in waving goodbye to white plastic, wall-mounted control panels.
How does it work?
The driver communicates with the Texecom system via a PC-Com or IP-Com interface device (depending on the chosen communication method), which must be installed by the Texecom engineer. Just define the UDL PIN and Keypad Area in the driver properties and you’re ready to design your virtual keypad (or simply integrate the demo keypad bundled with the driver!).
- Significant selection of discreet commands.
- Control of a particular “Area” or the whole system.
- Two-way feedback of system status.
- Comprehensive array of driver events.
This driver comes bundled with a demo keypad design, making integration into your project quick and easy.
