Finally, reliable two way control of Bang & Olufsen televisions is possible with RTI (if you’ve ever battled with infrared control of B&O, you’ll understand why this is a big deal!). This driver communicates with the B&O Masterlink Gateway via either Ethernet or Serial, and provides rock solid, discreet power commands, source selection and volume control, as well as whole host of other features. The B&O name is synonymous with style and quality, making RTI the perfect control companion. Integration is clean and simple, and the results are excellent.

How does it work?

The Masterlink Gateway is configured with a unique address for each connected television. The driver then communicates directly with the gateway, which means all kit is centralized, with no additional cabling to TVs, or unsightly IR emitters.

What’s the advantage of using a gateway and this driver, over traditional infrared control?

Control of B&O televisions via infrared is notoriously tricky to get working well; RS232 and Ethernet control via Masterlink are both much more effective and reliable. Additionally, with infrared control, an IR emitter is required on each television, which is unsightly, unreliable, requires extra cabling, and takes up lots of I/O ports on the RTI processor.

How does licensing work?

During the checkout process you will be asked to enter the MAC address of your RTI processor (so be sure to have it to hand), which is used to generate a licence key which you will receive by email shortly after making payment.
