Junior BMS Engineer

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior BMS Engineer to support our team. As a Junior BMS Engineer, you will work closely with senior team members to assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of various BMS projects. This role offers a valuable opportunity for individuals looking to gain practical experience in project management and engineering tasks, with a focus on Building Management Systems.

Responsibilities: Project Coordination:

  • Assist in the coordination of project activities, including scheduling meetings, preparing project documentation, and organizing project resources.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of project milestones and deliverables.

Site Work and Inspections:

  • Conduct onsite inspections to assess BMS installations and system functionality.
  • Assist with installation activities, working alongside senior engineers to ensure project requirements are met.

Data Management:

  • Support in the collection, organization, and analysis of data related to project performance and functionality.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate project records and documentation.

Technical Support:

  • Provide basic technical support to internal and external stakeholders on BMS-related issues.
  • Assist in troubleshooting problems and escalating issues as necessary.

Ordering Stock and Invoicing Clients:

  • Assist in managing stock inventory by ordering necessary supplies and materials for BMS projects.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and stock availability.
  • Support in invoicing clients for completed BMS projects and tracking payment statuses.

Research and Development:

  • Conduct research on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices relevant to BMS projects.
  • Assist in the development of innovative solutions to enhance BMS capabilities and performance.

Qualifications:

  • 3* A level or equivalent qualifications above C
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Candidates must have a valid driving license and access to their own vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel onsite, approximately 30% of the time.

Location: This position will be located at our Sawston Cambridge office with onsite travel as required.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £20,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
