Systems AV is a dynamic engineering company providing a quality, bespoke, tailor-made installation service of audio-visual, energy management, control systems, and IP telephony to various market sectors. Systems AV provide these and further services to residential, hospitality and commercial markets.
The Metropolitan hotel in Mayfair required integration of in-room facilities such as AV, lighting, heating/cooling and hotel services into an easy to use interface utilising the existing IP telephony system.
Systems AV turned to Janus Technology for advice on the system design and ultimately for the integration solution. Janus created an Android app to run on the in-room telephones, allowing a simple, but very effective touch interface to be used by guests to control the systems and facilities. At the back end, specific drivers needed to be used to allow the Android app to converse with the Control4 system used to connect and control the AV, lighting and more.
